Authentic Turon is prepared with Saging na Saba, a banana variety traditionally used in Filipino cooking, and flavoured with jackfruit, which adds its distinctive aroma and sweetness. These ingredients give the dessert its unmistakable character and offer a deeper insight into Filipino flavours.
The session begins with a refreshing calamansi juice welcome drink and ends with a small tasting of UBE liqueur as part of the cultural experience. Along the way, you’ll learn what UBE is, why it holds a special place in Filipino cuisine, and how food is closely linked to celebrations and everyday life in the Philippines.
In true Filipino spirit, this course blends cooking, storytelling, and cultural insights. Everything you prepare — the ice cream and the turon — can be packed and taken home to enjoy later.
